We have an opening for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will be a strategic trusted partner to the business who is passionate about our mission and innovative in identifying top talent. Our ideal team member is a problem-solver, a people-connector, and a relationship-builder who will have a high degree of autonomy to source and engage top scientific talent.
In this role you will:
Source and present top scientific talent through a variety of creative channels; conduct in-depth phone screens, assessing candidates evaluating skill level, driving offer process, including salary recommendations, and closing of candidates’ while maintaining a positive focus on experience throughout the process.
Strategically partner with hiring managers, management, and administration teams to understand their business and develop recruiting strategies on complex hard to fill positions by driving and implementing creative search strategies designed to recruit niche candidates within limited candidate pools by promoting a strong brand through networking, cold calling, social media, developing/maintaining campus and professional relationships to ensure a full pipeline of passive and active candidates.
Lead the day-to-day implementation of new/revised recruitment programs and develop and conduct training sessions and information workshops on a variety of recruitment topics; provide program design input and implementation with systems, e.g., ATS/CRM.
Customer focused with consistent communication regarding recruiting efforts, diversity initiatives, and market related compensation by providing status updates to all stakeholders through workforce planning meetings, email updates, and reports.
Assure compliance with Federal and State regulations and Laboratory policies on recruitment and employment activities.
Own mechanisms/reports for identifying and engaging talent and reporting ROI for in-house tools, public events, and conferences
Participate in virtual and onsite career events, which may require travel.
Manage the recruiting process through SmartRecruiters and ensure data integrity
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Executive presence and excellent consultative skills.
Domain expertise to build productive partnerships with leaders and exceed their expectations.
Advanced knowledge and experience of employment and recruitment principles, practices, concepts, standards, processes, and systems
Proven track record of delivering results while managing multiple open roles with minimal supervision in an often fluid and ambiguous environment
Experience and proven success creating complex diverse search strategies utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and developing data analysis reports and presentations.
Experience consulting, developing, and implementing recruitment strategies, marketing plans and customized campaigns while assuring compliance of organizational policies and federal and state regulations.
Ability to apply technical subject matter expertise, market intelligence, and deep industry knowledge to both strategic initiatives and individual searches.
Experience using database software and data analysis tools for reports and presentations and to conduct complex data analysis and metrics to drive business and behavioral changes based on data.
Advanced verbal and written communication, excellent customer service, negotiating skills and the ability to effectively explain, advise and influence potential applicants and internal customers with a high level of emotional intelligence.
Ability to travel as required.

LLNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Laboratory. Most positions will require a DOE L or Q clearance (please reference Security Clearance requirement). If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. An L or Q clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
