William Marcus Miller

William Marcus Miller, a Lab employee and resident of Danville, died suddenly Feb. 19.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Sept. 19, 1957, he was raised in several different states throughout the Midwest.

He received his bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University with a major in physics. He received his master's degree in computer science from the University of Kentucky and a doctorate from Colorado State University.

After working a few years in North Carolina for IBM, he settled in California working at LLNL in research and development.

He enjoyed his family, snow skiing, travel, art, photography, music and astronomy.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Darlene; sons Chase, Tanner, Derick and daughter Kimberlyn; son-in-law Jonathan; his parents Fae and Charlie Clark of Florida and Kentucky, and Bill and Jewel Miller of Florida; his brother Scott; his sisters Jennifer and Leslyn; and his grandmother Carson Cook.

A celebration of life service was held Feb. 24 in Dublin.
