Richard Bryan died Jan. 12. He was 91.
Bryan was born April 11, 1926, In Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined the Navy at 17 and served on the U.S.S. Killen. He ended his naval career in Portland where he met and married the love of his life, Betty, in 1949.
They moved to Ripon, California, in 1981 where they raised "their greatest joy," their oldest grandson, Frank Richard Stagno.
Bryan worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and retired in 1990. He and his wife enjoyed retirement by spending every summer with 'Frankie' camping and fishing in Fort Bragg.
He is preceded in death by twin brothers, Lyle and Leroy Farnsworth.
After his passing, Betty just couldn't go on without her love and passed away on Jan. 24, just 12 days after Bryan.They were married for 68 years.
A celebration of life will be announced.
