Peter D. “Pete” Waschkowsky

Peter D. “Pete” Waschkowsky died March 15. He was 88.

Waschkowsky was born on June 18, 1932 in San Diego and grew up in Oakland. He went to work at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in 1960. He was a technical coordinator when he retired in the early ’90s. He was also a retired sergeant major of the Marine Corps; he was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and is predeceased by his wife Mary (Ket). He is survived by his three sons, Peter M.; Mathew F. (Shelly) and Paul A.; three daughters Coletta Hill; Elizabeth Kich (Phillip) and Anna Falche (Robert); 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

A celebration of life is planned later this summer.
