Paul William Linnes

Paul William Linnes of Livermore died Oct. 13. He was 84.

Linnes was born on Aug. 8, 1930 in Santa Monica, California and graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1948. He served in the National Guard before serving in the Army Air Corps and was a veteran of the Korean conflict from 1951-1953.

Linnes worked as a safety engineer for 30 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Bernadine Bradley-Linnes, son Paul R. Linnes, and stepsons Ed, Bob, Tim and Joe Bradley. He was predeceased by his first wife, Janet Linnes.

A memorial service was held Oct.19 at the Livermore Elks Lodge, 940 Larkspur Dr. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation be made to Professional Health at Home Hospice, 395 Taylor Blvd., Ste. 200, Pleasant Hill, California 94523.
