Pamela King

Pamela King, a Lab retiree, died July 6 in Livermore. She was 64.

A life-long resident of Northern California, she was born March 5, 1944, to Hazel and Edward Gordon in Oakland. She lived in Livermore for 32 years.

King worked at the Lab for 28 years, retiring in 2006. Her long career at the Lab was part of a family legacy — King’s father worked at LLNL for 25 years before retiring in 1977.

She was an avid collector of sea shells and loved the ocean. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family; she enjoyed music and her cat, CiCi.

She is survived by her mother, and her daughter, Leah King.

Her ashes will be scattered at sea, off the coast of Santa Cruz.
