Leonard Ivarson

Leonard Ivarson of Livermore died Aug. 14.He was 89.

Ivarson worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 34 years and served the country for 27 years as a U.S. Navy pilot. He enjoyed amateur radio and was active in the community through the Livermore Amateur Radio Klub (LARK) for many years.

He is survived by his wife ofmore than 50 years, four children and many grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 18 at Cornerstone Fellowship, 348 N. Canyons Parkway, Livermore. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 200 Muir Drive, Martinez, CA 94553, Cornerstone Fellowship or a charity of choice.
