Kenneth M. Dasher

Kenneth Madison Dasher of Livermore died Nov. 1. He was 87.

Born on May 2, 1927 in San Pablo, California, Dasher was a HAM radio operator for many years and loved electronics and gadgets. He enjoyed fishing and watching football in his free time. Dasher loved jazz and played the trumpet for fun.

Dasher served in the U.S. Navy and  worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an electronic specialist for over 30 years. He also enjoyed playing ping pong and won the championship at the Lab.

Dasher is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty; and their children, Mark Dasher of Livermore, Kary Dasher of Livermore, Hope Motta of Livermore (a granddaughter they raised since she was two); sister, Audrey Palmer of San Diego; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Callaghan’s Chapel, 3833 East Ave. in Livermore. Final resting place will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery with Naval honors.
