John Woodruff

 

John P. Woodruff died Nov. 11. He was 73.

Born in Shelby, Ohio on Feb. 22, 1942, Woodruff came to Livermore in 1964 to work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and worked there until his retirement in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Woodruff; their daughter, Nancy Woodruff Salomone and two grandchildren, Marco and Julia Salomone.

Woodruff was living at his second home in Boulder, Colorado, when leukemia took his life.

A memorial service was recently held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livermore.
