John W. Taylor

John William Taylor of Patterson, who worked as respirator technician at the Lab for five years, died March 7 in Walnut Creek. He was 56.

Taylor was born Sept. 26, 1951. He was a native of Richmond and lived in Patterson five years. He previously lived in Dublin 13 years.

He was a member of the Albany Rotary Club, Tracy Moose Lodge and the Cone Head Association. He enjoyed camping, motocross, dirt bike riding, music, bowling, fishing and playing guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Betty Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Yolunda Barquis-Taylor of Patterson; sons, Austin J. Taylor of Patterson, Keoni W. Taylor of New York, and Raymond J. Taylor of Patterson; brothers, Richard Taylor of Virginia and Steven Overstreet of Oroville; sister, Patricia Hernandez of West Virginia; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held March 15 at 1 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson. Internment will be private.
