James Arvid Loftis

James Arvid Loftis died Oct. 26. He was 83.

Loftis was born in Portland, Oregon, Oct. 4, 1939, to Cristina Adams and James Loftis. He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory until he retired.

He is survived by his two sons, George and Shawn Loftis. He was preceded by six sisters and four brothers.

The celebration of life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5 at Main Street Bistro in Silverton, Oregon.
