Jack Ellis

Jack W. Ellis of Livermore died Jan. 24 due to heart complications. He was 84. Jack was born on Oct. 15, 1932 in Washington state. After attending Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area.

He was married to Gayle Ellis for 46 years. He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and retired in 1993. His true love was the art of Bonsai. He was a member and served as president of the Yamato Bonsai Kai Club for several years.

Ellis leaves behind his much loved wife Gayle and three devoted sons, Steve, John (and his wife, Susie) and Jim (and his wife, Sharii); three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

He was loved by everyone who knew him.
