Howard K. Goldmacher

Howard K. Goldmacher of Roswell, Georgia, died June 5. He was 82.

Goldmacher graduated from City College of New York and accepted his first engineering position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he traveled with his new bride, Iris. He received an executive MBA from Northeastern University. He had a successful career as an engineer and new business development specialist in the aerospace industry culminating as a vice president at Rockwell Missile Systems.

Upon retirement, he launched a consulting business called Tech Apps, Inc. and had a successful second career with his wife, as entrepreneur of Computer Tots, a national franchise that focused on computer education for preschoolers. His love of technology led him to later teach computer classes at the Roswell Senior Center.

Goldmacher was an avid reader, life-long learner, amateur photographer, tennis player and lover of travel and Dixieland jazz music.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 57 years, Iris Goldmacher; daughters, Ellen Waggener (Christopher) and Sharon Goldmacher; and his grand pup Cristo.

Funeral services will be held June 9 at Noon at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Arrangements are being handled by Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care, Atlanta, Georgia.
