Gerald W. Wright

Gerald (Gerry) Wayman Wright died Sept. 22 of heart failure. He was 85.

Born Dec. 7, 1930, Wright worked as a mechanical engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from 1958 to 1992, specializing in controls.

He was a beloved husband, father, engineer, musician, artist, athlete, patriot, man of faith and friend.

Wright is survived by his wife Adele; daughters Diane, Gail, and Julie and numerous grandchildren, friends, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 at Cedar Grove Community Church, 2021 College Ave. in Livermore. Honorariums can be sent to Pleasanton Community Concert Band.
