Edward Floth

Edward Floth died Feb. 15. He was 91.

Floth worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300 as a refrigeration engineer for 31 years until he retired in 1989. He also worked as a vocational teacher at San Joaquin Delta College. 

Floth, along with his wife Esther of 61 years, travelled and made friends all over the world, exploring, learning and having fun and adventures everywhere they went. He contributed many hours as a volunteer during retirement. He delivered Meals on Wheels for seven years, taught English for the Tri Valley Literacy program, refurbished trains for the Niles Canyon Railroad, completed repairs and carpentry for Shepherd's Gate, the Valley Humane Society and for the John Knox Presbyterian Church. He and his wife also provided a home for many rescue dogs.

Floth is survived by his wife, Esther Floth.
