Charles D. Ulrich

Charles D. Ulrich died April. 23. He was 74.

Ulrich was born in Astoria, New York on April 24, 1941. He served in the Vietnam War as a Navy airplane electrician from 1963-1967 on the U.S.S. Coral Sea. After an honorable discharge, he married his wife Dottie and worked as an electrician for "Charlie's Electric," his own electrical company. In 1981 he went to work for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an electrician. He retired in 2006.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles V. Ulrich, and his two sons, John (2011) and Scott (2013) Ulrich. He is survived by his wife, Dottie; sons, Steven and Lisa Ulrich (Myles, Tyson) and Doug and Julie Ulrich (Skyler); mother, Stephanie Ulrich; brother, Danny and sisters, Stephanie, Joan, Sandra and Susan.

In May, he was laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date at St. Bede's Catholic Church, Hayward. No services are currently available due to COVID-19 restrictions.
