Bonnie Yochum

Bonnie Yochum of Tracy died April 3. She was 62.

Yochum was born May 17, 1954 to Aaron and Edith Hall in Elyria, Ohio. They moved to Tracy when she was three years old. She attended Lammersville School and graduated from Tracy High School in 1972.

Yochum married William “Bill” Yochum in March 1972 after dating six months. They were together for 45 years.

She was a teacher’s aide at Lammersville School and coached volleyball and softball. She also started the yearbook and was involved in the parent’s group. She then worked as an administrative assistant at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and retired from there after 20 years. She was a cancer survivor.

Yochum is survived by her loving husband, Bill; two sons, Brian (Nicci) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Steven of Tracy; grandchildren, Jaina and Jeffrey of Murfreesboro and Steven of Tracy; a niece, Shelley Smith and nephew Mike Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wylie, Roscoe and Richard. She will be sadly missed by all, but is in a better place in heaven with her family and friends she has lost over the years.

Memorial services will be held at Southwinds Church in Tracy on Wednesday, April 12 at 1 p.m.

A celebration of life will follow at the family home, 222 Whitter Ave, Tracy.
