Alois Lasack

Alois (Al) Lasack of San Leandro died June 30 after a brief illness.

Lasack was born June 2, 1926 in rural Iowa, where he was raised. He served in the Navy in World War II, then married and raised a family of six children. He retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1984.

Devoted to his family, Lasack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Roberta; children, Stephen, Christopher, Martin, Daniel, Margaret and Mary; grandchildren, Andrea, Hilary, Andrew, Brian and John; great grandchildren, Hunter, Charlotte, Niko and Daphne. His brother, Leonard Lasack, resides in Iowa.

A celebration of his life was recently held at Heart of the Bay Christian Center.
