Allen V. Friensehner

Allen V. Friensehner died Oct. 5. He was 77.

Friensehner was born in Massachusetts to Vic and Phyllis Friensehner on Sept. 18, 1942.  He and his wife Deloma were married in 1978, and recently celebrated 41 years of marriage.

A resident of Tracy since 1950, he graduated from Tracy High School and Modesto Junior College (MJC). He joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory shortly after graduating from MJC and worked there for 52 years until retiring in 2012.  As a senior scientific associate, he specialized in gamma ray detection and measurements, contributing to numerous scientific studies and reports.

His hobbies included photography and soundstage electronics. He loved working as an audio engineer and for many years could be found in Lincoln Park setting up and managing the City of Tracy’s Soundstage trailer.

He is survived by his wife, Deloma; his son Leland Friensehner; Denita Schmidt and granddaughter Isabella.

A memorial will be held at Tracy Community Church, 1790 Sequoia Blvd, on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m.
