Alice E. Frerking

Alice E. Frerking, former Pleasanton resident, died June 28. She was 76.

Frerking was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 10, 1941, and lived her childhood and youth in Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for Reynolds Electric Co. at the Department of Energy Nevada Test Site. She then worked as a data analyst at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she met her husband-to-be, Eric.

Frerking was the loving mother of two sons, Christopher and Matthew, and a daughter, Melinda. She thrived on traveling and providing the widest possible experience base for the children. After living in Pleasanton and Discovery Bay, she moved to Brooks, Maine, where she lived until recently. She then moved to Vancouver, Washington where she passed away a month after her 50th wedding anniversary.

Frerking leaves behind her sister, Frances Kendall of Los Alamos, New Mexico, as well as her children and husband. A family service was held in Vancouver, and a burial service will be held at the Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery in Pleasanton at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26.
