Ninon Claire Cabrales

Ninon Claire Cabrales died Oct. 29, 2021. She was 81.

Born Ninon Claire Pelletier to the union of Howard Gaspar Pelletier and Emilie Claire Vignolo on March 19, 1940, in Modesto, California. She grew up in Turlock, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, and in Fresno, California. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1958. She worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as an administrative assistant in the public affairs office for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She authored articles for the Tri-Valley Herald and for the LLNL newspaper. She was a founding member of the Tri-Valley National Organization for Women, and contributed to two volumes of feminist poetry, “Women Talking, Women Listening”.

Ninon is predeceased by her sister Gwen Renee Pelletier Leaf; and her son, Matthew Pelletier Harris. She is survived by her husband Xavier Cabrales of Santa Rosa, California; her sister Camille Dahlin of Riverbank, California; her daughter Traci Harris of Healdsburg, California; her son Tyler (Raina) Harris of Vass, North Carolina; as well as five grandchildren; Nicole Lewis, Blake Harris, Zakary Harris, David Harris and Avari Harris and three great grandchildren; Luke and Evie Lewis, and Rowynn Harris; and many more relatives and friends.
