Minnie (Renteria) Robles Pedersen
Minnie (Renteria) Robles Pedersen died June 22, 2026. She was 103.
The eldest of four children, Minnie grew up in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles.
Her husband passed away in 1964, leaving her to run the family business, “Robles Concrete”. Eventually it proved to be more than she could manage, and she was forced to take on another job. She waitressed until she was hired at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She retired in 1990.
She is survived by her son, Mel Robles (Marianne) and daughter, Melinda Koopmann (Tim); grandchildren, Matthew Robles (Kim), Michael Ratekin (Josephine), Wendy Ratekin, Kelly Ratekin, Clayton Koopmann (Natalie), Carissa Koopmann Rivers (Vic), and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who became family. She is preceded in death by husbands Michael Robles and Jim Pedersen; brothers Arturo Robles and Paul Dominguez, sister Dorie Coronado; sons Ron Robles and Rodell Robles, and daughter Clarinda Ratekin.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 15 at 1:00 p.m., at the Livermore-Pleasanton Elks Lodge, 940 Larkspur Dr., Livermore.
