Mary Ann Bullis Dante

Mary Ann Bullis Dante died Aug. 4, 2024. She was 88.

Dante was born on June 24, 1936, in Salem, Oregon, to Ann and William Bullis. The family moved to Salinas, California, where Dante graduated from Salinas High School in 1954, and attended Hartnell Junior College. She started volunteering at East Avenue Junior High School library and was subsequently offered a job at the Granada High School library in 1973. She started taking evening classes at California State University, Hayward, earning a bachelor's degree in human development in 1983. She was then hired by  Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to work in the technical information library, until her retirement in 1993.

She is survived by her husband, Edward, siste,r Clara Jane Huckleberry, brothe,r Richard Bullis, her children, Sheri Ann, Ed (April) Dante and Diana Lavezzo, and her grandchildren, Bryant (Darien) Dante, Scarlett (Chris) Hernandez, Jayson Dante Miller, Jordan (Nicole) Lavezzo and Lucas (Sarai) Lavezzo.
