Mark Kaufeldt

Mark Kaufeldt died June 5, 2026. He was 70. 

Kaufeldt was raised in Millbrae, California. He attended Capuchino High School. He worked his way through college, graduating from San Francisco State University with a bachelor in science in clinical sciences. He served his country honorably, achieving a rank of Electricians Mate 1st class on a nuclear attack submarine. He transitioned those skills to having a successful career as a department head at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

He is survived by his son Daniel Kaufeldt (Camille), their children Skylan and Kehlan, daughter Amanda Kaufeldt, his brother Tim Kaufeldt (Gloria) and sister Jan Greiner (Greg), his nephew Tim Scott Kaufeldt Jr. (Mika) and their daughter Nicole, and his niece Jennifer Byas (Dan) and their children Rosemary, Gunnar and Johnny. He was predeceased by his parents Carl & Marjorie Kaufeldt.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
