Eva Elizabeth Kohot

Eva Elizabeth Kohot died Aug. 25, 2024. She was 74.

Kohot was born on July 10, 1950, in Oakland, California to John and Olga Kohot. She graduated from Granada High School and went on to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo earning a degree in animal science. She would later earn two more degrees in nursing from Samuel Merritt University and supervision from Saint Mary's College of California. She began her 48-year career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in Jan. 1974 in the protective service division as an officer; and later, armorer, building coordinator at Site 300, and for the last 30 years of her career, a central alarm station dispatcher. She retired in January 2022.

She is survived by her brother, John Kohot of Nevada; a very large PFD/LLNL family, and several friends who so loved and admired this big-hearted, extraordinary person.
