Estelle Pabis Miller

Estelle Pabis Miller died Nov. 16, 2024. She was 76.

Miller was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to Adam and Stasia Pabis. She spent her childhood in Ontario, California. During high school, she managed bookkeeping at her father’s Jimmie’s Gas Station. A graduate of Chaffey High School and University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in English, she built a respected career at University of California, Davis, dedicating 25 years to the Department of Applied Science, including work at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne Peterson (Jason), Sara Rogers (Jeremy) and Daniel Miller (Alexz); her grandchildren, Maxamillion, Alex, Aurora, Hudson, Nicholas, Calliope and MacKenzie; and her siblings, Edward Pabis (Marcia Malecki), David Pabis (Shawn), Janet Hopkins (James, Jessica, Jared) and John Pabis (Kimberley, Brittany, Brendon).
