Aldean John Fabyan

Aldean John Fabyan died Feb. 8, 2026. He was 77.

Fabyan was born on Nov. 1, 1948, in Lodi, California, to Joseph and Louella, and was raised in Livermore. Fabyan joined the U.S. Navy in 1968 and served for four years. During this time, he spent one year in Vietnam working on a repair ship. From 1972–2000, he worked alongside his father-in-law at the family business, Bob’s Parts House. Later, he found his path at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he continued to work with the same steady, thoughtful commitment for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn; his children Dawn, Jill, and Brandy (Matthew); three grandchildren, Brianna, Tyler, and Ashley (William); and his great-granddaughter, Myla.

A celebration of life will be held on May 23, at 4240 Guilford Ave., Livermore. Guests are welcome to attend anytime after 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to your charity of choice.
