Day at the Laboratory introduces underserved Bay Area students to careers in STEM

Who: The Laboratory will host a special event, "Day at the Lab" (formerly known as My Brother’s Keeper), with more than 250 students from school districts in Livermore, San Francisco, Oakland, Central Contra Costa, West Contra Costa, Richmond and Tracy.

What: The goal of this event is to engage underserved and disconnected youth through hands-on interactive displays featuring science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and provide opportunities for mentoring with Laboratory scientists and engineers. This daylong event is geared to engage and excite students toward opportunities in STEM and encourage positive future life and career choices.

When: Thursday, March 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, 7000 East Ave., Livermore, California, 94550.
