Media advisory: 'Expanding Your Horizons' conference at University of the Pacific Saturday

WHO:  Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories and the University of the Pacific School of Engineering and Computer Science will co-sponsor the 24th annual San Joaquin Expanding Your Horizons (SJEYH) conference. See the website.

WHAT: The popular daylong conference introduces girls in grades 6-12 to a variety of challenging careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on workshops. Approximately 500 girls representing 140 schools in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties and 200 volunteers are expected to attend the conference. See the schedule.
