'Science On Saturday' lecture In Tracy explores human physiology on a microchip

Who: Lawrence Livermore scientists Elizabeth Wheeler, Monica Moya, Kris Kulp, Sarah Felix and Heather Enright, along with teacher Erin McKay of Tracy High School, will present "iCHIP: Human Physiology in the Palm of Your Hand," taking their popular Science on Saturday presentation, featured earlier this year in Livermore, to Tracy.

What: The 2016 Science on Saturday series highlights women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This informative and entertaining lecture will focus on the technology aspect of STEM and will describe how researchers at LLNL are using biology, 3D bioprinting, microchips and other technology to re-create human physiology outside the body.

When: Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 10 a.m.

Where: The Grand Theatre, 715 N. Central Ave., Tracy, California.

Note: Science on Saturday lectures are sponsored by LLNL's Science Education Program and specifically targeted to middle and high school students. No pre-registration is required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
