Creating Partnerships Across the U.S.
At Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), our mission is to enable U.S. national security and global stability. Our funding, workforce and other assets are strategically aligned to make mission delivery possible.
Along with our sponsor and government partners, we collaborate with industry and academia to push the boundaries of science and technology. We work with small businesses to create components that power our technology and with university researchers to conduct experiments and test hypotheses.
During the 2025 fiscal year, LLNL partnered with organizations throughout the U.S. to award more than $817 million in procurements, collaborate on over 90 patents and software licenses, mentor over 750 student interns, partner with more than 120 Laboratory Directed Research and Development collaborators and enable the research of nearly 6,000 facility users across all 50 states.1
