The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is committed to releasing accurate information as quickly as is possible. Procedures are in place to ensure facts are verified and trusted information quickly flows to: employees; the news media; state and local organizations; community and tribal leaders; offices of local, state and federal elected officials; and with the Department of Energy.


During an emergency at the Laboratory, you can find news and information from the following sources:

A Joint Information Center (JIC) may be established during an emergency to serve as a single, multi-agency source of emergency information. Phone numbers of JIC public information hotlines will be posted on this website and broadcast via the local news media.
